Belinda Florita Carrillo died after losing her battle with breast cancer on October 27, 2019 at the age of 64.
Belinda was born in Cotulla to Guadalupe and Julia Rodriguez in 1955.
She is survived by her children, Andrea Carrillo, Lydia Chebino, Robert Carrillo III; seven grandchildren, Roxxo, Harly, Barrett, Abigail, Thomas, Azura, and Korben. She lived in Blue Island, Illinois and Uvalde.
Belinda was an elementary school teacher and taught within the Uvalde Independent School District for over 15 years. Additionally, she taught in Carrizo Springs before moving back to Cotulla, where she taught 2nd grade at Ramirez–Burks Elementary School.
She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in 1998 at the age of 43.
A celebration of Belinda’s life will be held at Peters Funeral Home in Cotulla at 4 p.m., on Tuesday, November 5. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cotulla.
