Josefa (Josie) Lopez Rodriguez, 90 of Dilley, died on February 21, 2020 in Cleburne, Texas. She was born on March 27, 1929 in Dilley to Manuel Y. Lopez and Julia Lopez.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Abundio Rodriguez Sr., son Abundio Rodriguez Jr., and step sisters Trinie Duran and Goyita Hernandez.

Rodriguez is survived by her sons John M. Rodriguez of Spring, Texas and Geronimo “Jerry” Rodriguez and wife Silvia of Pflugerville, grandchildren Juan Rodriguez Jr., Laura Alyssa Rodriguez, Gabriela Rodriguez, Cristina Rodriguez, Lonnie Rodriguez, and Biance Rodriguez. She is also survived by Elda Rodriguez, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 24 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Dilley from 2 to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was held on Tuesday, February 25 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Interment followed at the Dilley Cemetery.
