New, 53

Kevin New of Derby died on February 17, 2020. He was born October 9, 1966, to Laxton H. New and Julia Smith New.

He is proceeded in death by his father Laxton. Kevin is survived by his mother Julia, brother Larry New, sisters Joanna and husband Jerry Horton, Nancy and husband Donnie Barnes, Holly and husband Butch Vaughan, Bonny and husband Roy White, Lexie and husband John Stewart, Deanna New and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin grew up in Derby and attended Pearsall schools and Waco Technical School. He was a valued employee for Black Gold Farms for 23 years.

Honorary pallbearers are Stanton Woell, Brian Kallies, Brett Stacy, Christopher Toalson, Don Jallo, Sloan Triplett, Richard Youngblood, Jack Stroud, Eric Nail and Jay Allen.

A memorial was held at First Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 22. Visitation with family was held at the fellowship hall after service.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hurley Funeral Home, Pearsall.
