Alvaro Garcia

Alvaro Garcia died on April 28, 2020 at the age of 71. He was born in San Diego on July 18, 1948 to Jose F. and Alfonsa A. Garcia.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.

Garcia is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Anita Garcia, children Adriana (Robert) Arevalo, Alvaro Jr. (Linda) Garcia, Alice (Mike) Marino and Molly (Juan) Arredondo, grandchildren Sarah Castillo, Adrian Castillo III, Daniel Castillo Jr., Tiffany Castillo, Diana Castillo, Victoria Lynn Arevalo, Robert Arevalo Jr., Adam Alvaro Garcia, Andy Alvaro Garcia, Anthony Alvaro Garcia, Lauren Sidney Marino, Emily Marino, Amanda Rene Rios, Rosa Ramirez, Christina Ann Rios and Valeri Rios, great grandchildren Andrew Hernandez, Moses Ibarra, Daniel Ibarra, Penelope Rose Cruz, Nevaeh Rios, Sofia Alvarado, Elijah Esparza, Jesslyn Ramirez, Julian Alvaro Ramirez, Jaylan Aryana Ramirez, Alaia Bosquez and Jeremiah Ramirez. He is also survived by his siblings Jesse (Guadalupe) Garcia, Teresa (Oscar) Castor and Juanita (Juan) Rodriguez.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 1 at Peters Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Services were held on Saturday, May 2 at Peters Funeral Home at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at the Cristo Rey Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
