Maria Paula B. Hernandez, 74, died on August 30, 2020 in Pearsall. She was born on May 15, 1946 in Pearsall to parents Pablo Bernal and Reymunda Trujillo Bernal.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Juanita Hernandez, daughter-in-law Gracie Ramirez Hernandez and one granddaughter Samantha Jade Morales.
Maria is survived by her husband Juan Hernandez Sr., children Juan Hernandez Jr., Jerry and Raquel, Hernandez, Dora and Larry Hanks, Maria Amalia and Frank Marquez, Ann Marie and Pedro Martinez, and Melissa and Tommy Pawlik; brothers Artemio Bernal, Hector Bernal, Mario Bernal, Roy Bernal, and Leo Bernal, sisters Yolanda Bernal, Norma Jalomo and Nora Gonzales, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 2 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 3 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Pearsall, with the Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass was celebrated at 1 p.m., Friday, September 4 in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Pearsall Cemetery with grandchildren serving as pallbearers.
