Carlos R. Leal died on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in Peoria, Illinois. He was born in Pearsall to parents Trinidad and Santiaga M. Leal.

He was preceded in death by parents, sister Francisca Rodriguez, brothers Manuel Leal and Trinidad Leal Jr.
Carlos is survived by his wife Alejandra Leal, sons Trinidad Leal, Carlos Tanguma, Danny Leal, Nathanial Leal, daughters Cecilia Leal, Naomi Leal, eight grandchildren and siblings Robert (Irma) Leal, Oscar (Carmen) Leal, Alicia Salazar, Florinda (Juan) Gutierrez, Maria Luisa (Ramon) Perez, Antonio Leal and Guadalupe Leal.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 18 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall with interment to follow at Pearsall Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 those attending must follow CDC guidelines as well as local mandates. Masks and social distancing are required to attend services.
