Raul Gomez Mainez, 72 of Pearsall, died on October 28, 2020 at his home. He was born on April 30, 1948 in Pearsall, to Graviel Mainez and Elida Gomez Mainez.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Pedro G. Mainez.

Raul is survived by his wife Maria del Rosario Moreno Mainez, children Sonia Leonor Mainez Bosquez (Paul Anthony), Raul Gomez Mainez Jr. (Ana Vasquez Talamantes), Priscilla Moreno Mainez, Gabriel Mainez Sr. and April Marie Mainez. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Roger Frausto, Lonnie Herrera, Tomas Navarro Jr., Isaac Navarro, Samuel Navarro, Pedro Mainez, William Dean Gonzales, Jordan Martinez and Raul Mainez III. Honorary Pallbearer was Gabriel Mainez Jr. “Dos”.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 1 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 4 to 6:15 p.m. Visitation continued at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church from 6:30 to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was celebrated on Monday, November 2 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed at the Frio Town Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, Pearsall.
