Warm cinnamon rolls are another ‘can’t-be-beat’ delicacy. Easy to make warm cinnamon rolls are a bonus for everybody. May I suggest a hot cup of coffee to go with these? Enjoy!
From ‘A Barrel of Food, Nothing Fancy’ (A collection of recipes from Mrs. Tillie Hillje and her family) published in 2007:
2 (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent rolls
6 tbsp butter, softened
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
Unroll crescent rolls; separate along center perforation to 4 rectangles; press diagonal perforations to seal. Stir butter, brown sugar, pecans (if using), sugar, and cinnamon together and spread over each rectangle. Roll up, starting at long end. Cut each roll into 1-inch slices. Place 1/4 inch apart on greased cake pans. Bake at 375ﾟfor 15 to 18 minutes. Cool. Stir powdered sugar and remaining ingredients. Drizzle over warm rolls.
