She will be missed

Pearsall Intermediate staff extended their gratitude to Irma “Mom” Maldonado, who is retiring after 48 years of service with the school district by giving her a gift basket of some of her favorite things and also presented her with a plaque commemorating her years experience with the campus. She most recently served as an aide in the life skills classroom. “She exhibited a heart of dedication, compassion and love towards her students and listened and offered motherly advice to all staff who requested it,” Pearsall Intermediate Counselor Josefa Olvera said. “We were most grateful to have had her as part of our family at Pearsall Intermediate. She will be missed. We wish her the best retirement years with her family and grandchildren.”
