Louis G. Perez, 74, of Cotulla, died on January 15, 2021. He was born on February 22, 1946 in Harvey, Illinois to Armando Perez and Maria De la luz Garza.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Raul Perez.
Louis is survived by his wife Olga Perez of Cotulla, brother Armando Perez Jr. (Maria Perez), children Alejandro (Rosalinda) Canales of Uvalde, Martin Perez of Belvidere, Illinois, Irma Villarreal (Martin Ramos) of Cotulla, Gabriel Perez of Belvidere, Enrique Perez of Woodstock, Illinois and Louis Perez Jr. (Janean Perez) of Marengo, Illinois. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Louis worked at Marengo Tool & Die for 48 years, retiring in 2016 where he then relocated with his wife to his hometown of Cotulla.
He enjoyed being outside, working on projects and helping his neighbors, watching sports, often flipping between channels to watch two games at once. His hobbies included fishing, taking naps, eating snacks (his cookies) and drinking coffee all day.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 20 at Peters Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
