Severiano Tovar, 97 of Dilley, died on January 24, 2021 in Laredo. He was born on November 8, 1923 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Antonino Tovar and Maria Elena Velasquez Tovar.

He is preceded in death by his wife Maria Angelita Tovar and brothers Juan Tovar Velasquez and Victor Tovar Velasquez.

He is survived by his children Consuela Maldonado, Fausto Tovar, Esteban Tovar, Maria Elena Rodriguez and Jose Tovar, sisters Adela Tovar Velasquez and Salome Tovar Velasquez. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 27 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel in Dilley at 10 a.m. A rosary was recited at 11:30 a.m. Interment followed to the Dilley Cemetery at 1 p.m.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels.
