Pearsall police are searching for a woman wanted on parole violations after she and a companion allegedly broke into a residence and stole a man’s wallet.
According to a report on the case, Lee Ann Cruz and her boyfriend, 30-year-old Angel Elizondo, entered a home on Plum Street and robbed a man while he was sleeping on Sunday, January 30.
The homeowner alleged that Elizondo held him down while the couple removed his belt and took his wallet with an unknown amount of cash inside.
Investigating officers were allegedly able to obtain a confession from one of the suspects and arrest warrants were issued for the couple. Elizondo has since been remanded into custody.
“They were both wanted for parole violations,” Police Lt. Michael Guerrero said. “We are diligently working with the Department of Public Safety to arrest the subject on a blue warrant and fast-track them out of the county.”
As of press time, the suspects face felony charges for burglary of habitation.
