A Pearsall man with a criminal history is the prime suspect in a recent vandalism spree resulting in numerous broken windows at downtown businesses.
The most recent case involves the office of the Frio-Nueces Current, where suspect Johnny Ray Frausto broke windows on two different occasions.
On Monday evening, January 18, the office’s security system alerted police that a side window to the building had been shattered; two weeks later, on Wednesday, February 3, a front window had been shattered by a rock just after 6 p.m.
According to reports filed at the police station, Frausto has been arrested multiple times in connection with crimes involving broken windows.
