Cheese & Sausage Breakfast Casserole

As printed in The COTULLA Garden Club Community Cookbook, 2016
1 lb pork sausage
1 or 2 tbsp butter
6 slices bread (crust removed)
2 cups (8 oz) shredded cheese
2 cups milk
1 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook sausage, spread butter on bread. Arrange in casserole dish, sprinkle with sausage and cheese. Beat eggs, milk, and salt. Pour over meat and cheese. Cover and put in refrigerator overnight. Bake for 45 minutes.
