Rosa Elder Cruz died on February 6, 2021 at the age of 79. She was born on July 7, 1941 to Fernando and Sara Moreno.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfredo Cruz, siblings Lucio Moreno, Delia Lopez, Mario Moreno, Pepe Moreno and Chonita Moreno.

Cruz is survived by her son Esteban Cruz and his children Esteban Cruz Jr. (Alicia), Elizar Cruz (Ausenett) and Cristian Cruz (Araceli), daughter Maribel (Bernardo) Castor and their children Sarah Castor, Benny Rey Castor (Analicia), Selena Perez (Jacob), Kimathy Castor and Bernardo Castor Jr., son Ernesto (Cynthia) Cruz and their children Ernesto Cruz Jr. (Nikki), Xciana Cruz (Johnny), Edwardo Cruz and Celisia Cruz, brothers Freddy (Rosa) Moreno and Jesse (Ofelia) Moreno. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 12 at Peters Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 13 at Peters Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Cotulla East Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
