STRHS in Cotulla receives $4.2 million in HHS grants for Texas’ 23rd District
The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is providing over $10 million in grant money for health center clusters in Texas’ 23rd District, including just over $4.2 million for South Texas Rural Health Services, Inc. in Cotulla.
Also receiving grants were: Vida y Salud Health System, Inc. in Crystal City – $2,930,680 and Community Health Development, Inc. in Uvalde – $3,734,048.
“These grants are a crucial investment to our medically underserved and rural populations,” Congressman Tony Gonzales said. “Our community health centers are more important than ever as we continue to combat the pandemic, and I applaud the Department of Health and Human Services for focusing such significant amounts of funding toward health centers in our district.”
