Mirta R. Nunez died on March 7, 2021 at the age of 64. She was born on March 2, 1957 to Filiberto and Emma Ruiz.

She is preceded in death by her father Filiberto Ruiz, husband Ramon Nunez and common law spouse Senon Cruz.

Nunez is survived by her children Joey (Julie) Ruiz and Jason (Simona) Nunez, mother Emma Ruiz, grandchildren Deandra Ruiz, Drayden Ruiz, Jason Nunez Jr., Jalynn Nunez, Anthony Ramirez and Jasmine Ramirez, siblings Elvira De La Rosa, Elsa Ruiz and Beto Ruiz Jr. She is also survived by numerous nieces and other relatives.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 11 at Peters Funeral Home from 8 a.m. to noon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 11 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Interment followed at the Cotulla East Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
