Eleven members of the Pearsall Mavericks area finalists were named to the 30-4A All-District baseball team following the Mavs’ playoff exit over the weekend.
Pearsall was the league runner-up and bi-district champions after dominating Devine 9-1, 11-5 in their first round series.
Five members were placed on the all-district first team, three earned second team all-district honors and three were given honorable mention.
Jesse Carrasco was named first-team first baseman, JM Perez was the first-team pitcher, Sebastian Talamantes was named first-team utility player, Kollin Meeks was named first-team designated hitter while Izayah Ramirez was first team second baseman.
Joseph Telles was a secnd team pitcher, Marcos Salazar was named second team third baseman and Derey Ramirez was second team outfielder.
Mark Ovalle, Matthew Hughes and Abram Garcia were all given honorable mention.
Pearsall closed out the season with a 9-18-1 overall record, and 3-3 mark in 30-4A and the bi-district title.
