Is there really anything in the world better than chili cheese? Not in my books!
As printed in “Stolen Recipes” by Mary Sue Koontz Nelson, provided by Leighton Donnell, Donnell Ranch – Fowlerton:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (8 to 10 ounce) can green chilies and tomatoes
1/3 teaspoon chili powder
1 pound processed American Cheese, cut into small pieces
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Brown ground beef and drain off excess grease. Put ground beef and all remaining ingredients in crock pot. Stir well. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour stirring until cheese is fully melted.
Serve immediately or turn to low for serving up to 6 hours later. Serve with tortilla or corn chips.
For thicker dip, stir in a paste of 2 tablespoons flour and 3 tablespoons water.
