Joe V. Villarreal, 71, of Devine died on Saturday, June 19, 2021, in San Antonio. He was born November 10, 1949, in Pearsall to parents Jose and Lydia Villarreal.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 47 years Sally (Celia) Villarreal.
Joe is survived by his sons Mark Joseph Villarreal and wife Alice, Michael James Villarreal and wife Laura, grandchildren Bryan, Brandon, Emily, Elias, and Ethan.
He was a 1972 graduate of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Accounting. He worked for Frost Bank in San Antonio for 46 years and retired as an Executive Vice President.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24 from 2 to 9 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine. Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 25 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine with interment to follow in the Moore Catholic Cemetery.
