Aurora T. Hinojosa, 77, of Pearsall, died surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. She was born on August 2, 1943 to Jesus and Saraita Trejo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Juan Alfredo Hinojosa and husband Bentura V. Hinojsa.
Aurora is survived by her sons David Hinojosa, Jesse Hinojosa and wife April, Chris Hinojosa, daughters Gloria Vela and husband Rudy, Christina Montez and husband Jesse, Aurora Saenz, Mary Ellen Vela and husband Roland, Sara Hinojosa Morales, daughter-in-law Juanita Hinojosa and 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday, June 27 in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pearsall from 4 to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 28 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall followed by interment in Pearsall Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jesse Hinojosa Jr., Cosme Saenz, Juan A. Hinojosa Jr., Jacob Hinojosa, Anthony Vela, Steven Vela and Roland J. Vela. Honorary pallbearers were Jesse Hinojosa, Levi Hinojosa and Noah Hinojosa.
