Maria Louisa Garcia Ruel, 80, of Dilley, died on July 1, 2021. She was born on August 19, 1940, in Dilley to Conrado Garcia and Petra Lujano Garcia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sons Ricardo Ruel and Rolando Ruel, brother Ruben Garcia, sisters Soila Quintanilla, Maria Flores, and Rosa G. Garcia and grandson Rene Ruel Jr.
She is survived by her children Rene Ruel of Humble, Zelda R. Trevino (Sonny) of Natalia, Randall Ruel of Dilley, Jonathan Custer of Humble, Jerry Custer of Dilley, Jason Custer of Cotulla and Abel Ruel (Lizzy Winter) of California, siblings Mito Garcia, Eddie Garcia and Gloria Valdez. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9 at Trevino Royal Oaks in Dilley starting at 9 a.m. A prayer service will follow at 12:30 p.m.. Services will conclude at the chapel.
