Philip George Blonigen, 65, died Friday, July 2, 2021, surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Catherine Blonigen, brother John Blonigen and sister Margaret Davis.
Philip is survived by his wife of 32 years Rosalinda Blonigen, daughter Joanna Blonigen Vela and husband Richard, brothers James Blonigen and wife Connie, Michael Blonigen and wife Kim, Joseph Blonigen and wife Rose, sisters Judy Roos and husband Doug, Patricia Morgan and husband Kerry, Mary DeMarcus and husband Bruce, Joan Hays and husband Jim, brother-in-laws Leo Orta, Harvey Orta and wife Amelia, Edward Orta and wife Belinda and numerous nieces and nephews.
He retired after many years of teaching.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 7 from 5 to 9 p.m. and a Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pearsall. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 8 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall with interment to follow in Mendiola Cemetery in Jourdanton.
