Alberto L. Gutierrez, 82, died surrounded by his family on September 4, 2021 in Pearsall. He was born on April 8, 1939 to Ascension and Anastacia Gutierrez Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Emilia V. Gutierrez, brothers Roberto and Benito Gutierrez, sisters Margarita Gutierrez, Felipa De La Fuente and Victoria Camacho.

Alberto is survived by his children LeRoy Barron (Coral), Jorge Alberto Gutierrez (Norma), Maribel G. Carrillo (Carlos) and Romero Alberto Gutierrez (Hope), nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, brothers Domingo and Ascencion Gutierrez Jr., sisters Guadalupe and Gloria Gutierrez, Anastacia Torres, Linda Esquivel, Olga Laredo, Alicia Perez and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service to be recited at 7 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pearsall. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16 at 10 a.m. at Iglesia Bautista Belen on 920 E. Medina St. in Pearsall with interment to follow in Frio County Cemetery in Pearsall.
