The great thing about decorations is that each person has their unique style and likes, so options are really endless on interesting crafts. Antiques can be complicated, but in this case, you can create your own replica, and enjoy the aesthetic anyway!
From “Make It Yourself: Handcrafted Gifts,” a Publication by The Meredith Corporation, 2017:
Glass bottle or jar
Rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth
Acrylic paints in desired colors
Paper towel or paper plate
Wash glass with soap and water, dry. Dampen cloth with rubbing alcohol, wipe inside of glass vessel with cloth.
Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol inside narrow vessels; swirl alcohol around inside of vessel, then pour out excess. Let air-dry.
In a glass bowl combine paint and water in a 2:1 ratio. Pour the mixture into the bottle or jar.
Swirl paint around inside bottle or jar until entire interior is coated.
Place glass vessel upside down on paper towel or paper plate; let dry.
Repeat steps 2 to 4 several times until satisfied with coverage. We don’t recommend filling the vases with water after painting. Use only dried or fake flowers for decorating.
