Poteet scores 21 second quarter points en route to 36-14 district win.
Cotulla played on even terms with district leading Poteet for a quarter before the Aggies broke open a tight game en route to a 36-14 win over the Cowboys last Friday at Myers Memorial Stadium.
The loss extended Cotulla’s current losing skid to six games this season.
Poteet returned the opening kick for a touchdown before Cotulla responded with a drive capped by a one-yard touchdown run to tie it up.
The Aggies’ dynamic running back Ernest Davila then erupted for three touchdowns in the second and finished the night with 241 yards on the ground.
Poteet eventually extended the lead to 36-7 before Thallan Olivarri hauled in a fourth quarter touchdown.
Cotulla falls to 1-6 with the loss and sit sixth in the standings at 0-3. The Cowboys are two games out of fourth place with three games remaining.
The Cowboys will be at Universal City Randolph this Friday, October 22.
