The Knights of Columbus Immaculate Heart of Mary Council 8327 in Pearsall is inviting all men of faith to attend the Day of Spiritual Reflection at the church Parish Hall on Sunday, November 28.
”Many Catholic youth can attest that religious retreats are radically rejuvenating spiritual events that often leave a lasting impact on participants’ relationship to their faith,” IHOMCC Deacon Marcus Salazar said. “Yet so often, retreats seem to only be open to students and youth.
“The Immaculate Heart of Mary Council 8327 Day of Spiritual Reflection Program is an opportunity to provide the benefits of a retreat and develop fellowship among men of faith.”
The theme of the Day of Spiritual Reflection, which runs from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., is “Advent as the Coming of the New Brotherhood.” The theme is based on Mark 3:34-35 and Matthew 25:31-40. There will be Knights of Columbus speakers from the IHOMCC Council 8327, Fourth Degree Fr. William Kuppens Assembly 2622, and the District Deputy of District 36. In addition to the speakers from the Knights of Columbus there will also be members of the Secular Franciscans from the St. Francis of Assisi Fraternity-San Antonio, who will give a presentation on the Franciscan understanding of brotherhood.
The IHOMCC Council 8327 in Pearsall is one of 17,000 Knights of Columbus councils that make up the world’s largest Catholic Fraternal service organization.
