THE LITTLE CRAFTY THING
This is an easy craft to do with kids and get them excited about the tree and being a part of decorating.
From: Supercraft – Easy Projects for Every Weekend by Sophie Pester and Catharina Bruns, 2016
From the authors: Even at the holidays not everyone wants to go over the top-minimalist decorations and paper ornaments such as these are also very popular. This project is ideal for anyone who doesn’t want their tree weighed down with expensive trinkets. These little pendants can be individually customized or just used as they are-roll on Christmas!
You will need: strong card stock, utility knife, steel ruler, etching needle, & cotton thread
Cut out the stars using templates. Use an etching needle to prick lots of little holes into the paper, in the pattern of your choice, protecting the work surface underneath with a piece of wood or something similar. The result will be a delicate pattern through which light can shine. Hang up the stars using pieces of thread.
