Zachariah Santiago Montemayor

Montemayor, 24

Zachariah Santiago Montemayor, 24, of Rockport, Texas died on February 16, 2022, following a two-year battle with cancer. He was born on September 25, 1997, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Rhonda and Eddie Montemayor.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Billy Short.

Zachariah is survived by his parents, sister Allison (Alaric) Montemayor, grandparents Shirley Short, Alamar Cantu Perez, Santiago “Jimmy” Montemayor, nieces Riley and Robin Alfaro, aunts Cynthia (Chris) Waldrum, Rhetta (Robert) Miller, uncles Billy (Deborah) Short Jr., Kenneth (Misty) Short and numerous cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, and friends.

Zack enjoyed gaming, he was a dog lover, a movie critic and, according to his family, was a warrior his entire life.

A memorial service will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport on Saturday, February 26 from 3 to 5 p.m.
