Debra Rachel Hernandez, 58, of Pearsall died on Saturday, March 5, in Live Oak, Texas. She was born on March 9, 1963, in Dilley to Ruben Pena and Josie Benavides.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eliseo Hernandez; parents Ruben and Josie Pena; siblings Peggy Pena, Ruben Pena Jr.; and great-grandsons Daniel Avila Jr. and Santiago Chavera III.
She is survived by her children, Anna Carrizales (Joe), Daniel Avila (Kym), and Tomas Bonner; grandchildren Santiago Chavera Jr., Rachael Nieto (Evan), Liam Nieto, Eliseo Chavera (Destiny), Isaiah Chavera, Elijah Avila, Delany Vinton, Devaeh Vinton, and Donavon Vinton. She is also survived by her siblings, Norma Martinez, Diana Villarreal, Sara Alaniz, Patty Vinton, and Robert Pena and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 10, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Pearsall from 9 to 10:45 a.m.; a prayer service was held at 11 a.m. Services were concluded at the chapel.
