BARAJAS, 61

Mary Darlene Barajas, 61, of Pearsall, died on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in Pearsall. She was born June 10, 1960, in Jourdanton to parents Cipriano Barajas and Elena Castillo.
She is preceded in death by her father and sister Pascualita Barajas.
Mary is survived by her mother, brothers and sisters Adan Barajas (Betty) of Kyle, Paul Barajas (Janie) of Pearsall, Pascuala Barajas (Guzman) of Dilley, Martin Gonzalez Jr. (Judith) of Union City, California, Joe Felix Gonzalez (Nancy) of Union City, California, Feliseo Gonzales (Araceli) of El Paso, Santos Gonzales (Julie) of Shalimar, Florida, Gil Gonzalez Sr. (Addi) of Lufkin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed the beauty of the night sky, especially meteor showers.
Pallbearers included Adan Barajas, Paul Barajas, Joe Castillo, Feliseo Gonzales, Santos Gonzales, and Gil Gonzalez Sr.
Visitation was held Wednesday, March 9 from 2 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Pearsall. Mass was celebrated Thursday, March 10 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pearsall. Interment followed at the Frio County Cemetery.
