The Moore Community Improvement Club was excited to share the plan for the pending playground/outdoor facility upgrades which was presented by Frio County Commissioner Graf at our last meeting. He shared with us that the playground equipment has been purchased by the Frio County commissioners. A big thank-you goes out to all the commissioners for the unanimous vote for procuring the equipment.
A drawing has been left up in the community center to provide a conceptual master plan for the property. We will keep the community posted when the equipment will be placed, which is the first phase of this project.
Summerfest has been scheduled for Saturday July 16. It was also decided to form a Summerfest events committee to coordinate the activities. We ask those interested in planning the upcoming event to join us next month at our monthly meeting and sign up for this exciting committee. They will be responsible for planning the upcoming Summerfest and other activities we will plan for the community.
The committee will meet independently from our regular monthly meeting and report back to everyone at the regular monthly meeting.
Senior box distribution will be Monday, March 28; there is a special Food Bank grab bag day March 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Moore Community Center.
