Mavs, Lady Mavs dominate field, claim team titles at Wolf Pack Relays.

Pearsall dominated in both boys’ and girls’ divisions in action at the Wolf Pack Relays in Dilley, scoring 175 and 165 points to take team titles in both fields last Wednesday, March 9 at Gosch Field.
The Mavericks topped second place Lytle by 44 points as the team collected numerous medals.
Jovonnie Robledo tallied gold medals in both hurdle events and was third in the high jump while Jose Ramirez took gold in the long and triple jump events. Jayden Gonzales also captured gold in the high jump for Pearsall. Pearsall relay teams also swept the 400m and 800m and were third in the mile relay.
In the girls’ field, the Lady Mavs rolled past the competition, outpointing second place Crystal City by 83 points. Jezzie Leal won the high jump and 300m hurdles and took second in the 100m hurdles. Anisty Martinez took gold in the long jump while Esmeralda Gonzales claimed gold in the pole vault.
