Dilley was fourth in a field of ten teams while the Lady Wolves placed fifth at the annual Wolf Pack Relays at Gosch Field last Wednesday, March 9.
Dorian Aranda and Esai Lozano racked up a combined six medals while Dakota San Miguel took a gold in the discus for the Lady Wolves at the event.
For a second straight week the Wolves were shorthanded in competition, fielding a team with only four athletes this week.
Aranda was first in the 200m dash with a time of 23.65 and took second in the 100m dash at 11.45. He was second in the long jump with a leap of 19’10” and was second in the triple jump at 40’7”.
Lozano was first in the 400m dash at 53.39 and was second in the 200m dash at 24.01.
Gabe Tijerina was second in the shot put with a toss of 44’4’1/2” and Anthony Guerra was fourth in the two mile run with a time of 11:42 and sixth in the mile at 5:12.16.
Girls’ results are as follows: 100m dash, sixth, Jenasys Flores, 14.70; 400m dash, sixth, Chloe Rodriguez, 1:06.94; 100m hurdles, fifth, Blanca Muniz, 20.82; 400m relay, third, Mia Aranda, Blanca Muniz, Zeny Perez, Jenasys Flores, 56.33; 800m relay, third, Mia Aranda, Blanca Muniz, Zeny Perez, Jenasys Flores, 2:03.89; long jump, fifth, Zeny Perez, 13’7-1/2″; shot put, second, Dakota San Miguel, 33’1/2″, third, Janae Galindo, 32’7″, sixth, Maddison Duran, 28’10″; discus, first, Dakota San Miguel, 83’5-1/2″, eighth, Janae Galindo, 71’1″; triple jump, fifth, Zeny Perez, 28’7-1/2″, seventh, Krystianah Prado, 27’6″.
Dilley will be off for Spring Break and return to action Saturday, March 26 in Tilden for the McMullen County Relays.
