Once again competing with low attendance, Dilley managed to finish sixth and seventh in the girls’ and boys’ divisions of the Edye Lea Relays in Pearsall on Saturday, March 26.
Janae Galindo claimed Dilley’s only gold medal as she won the shot put.
Lady Wolves results are as follows: 400m dash, fifth, Chloe Rodriguez, 1:05.69; 800m run, second, Chloe Rodriguez, 2:41.84; 400m relay, fourth, Jenasys Flores, Zeny Perez, Blanca Muniz, Mia Aranda, 57.40; 800m relay, sixth, Jenasys Flores, Zeny Perez, Blanca Muniz, Mia Aranda, 2:09.09; shot put, first, Janae Galindo, 34’3-1/2″, second, Dakota San Miguel, 33’; discus, fifth, Dakota San Miguel, 84’1″;
The Wolves were seventh overall at the meet and were led by Dorian Aranda. He won the triple jump and was second in the long jump and 200m dash. He was also third in the 100m dash.
Dilley boys’ results are as follows: 100m dash, third, Dorian Aranda, 11.56; 200m dash, second Dorian Aranda Dilley 23.53, third, Esai Lozano Dilley 23.78; 400m dash, fifth, Esai Lozano, 54.90; long jump, second, Dorian Aranda, 19’9-1/2″; shot put, second, Gabe Tijerina, 45’3″; discus, fourth, Gabe Tijerina, 105’; triple jump, first, Dorian Aranda, 41’9-1/2″.
Dilley was in action at the Devine Invitational Track Meet on Wednesday, March 30.
