Simon Canales, 30, of Dilley, died on March 27, 2022, in Dilley. He was born on February 12, 1992 in Crookston, Minnesota to Simon Sambrano Jr. and Joanne Garza Canales.

He is preceded in death by his father; grandfathers Simon Sambrano Sr. and Florentino Tijerina Canales.

Simon is survived by his daughter Caylee J. Rodriguez, mother, siblings Valerie A. Canales, Veronica Canales, Jesus A. Canales, Jacob J. Canales and Andrough A. Canales, grandmothers Consuelo C. Sambrano and Angela Garza Canales, nieces and nephews Amaia, Aveyah, Alizay, Ayanna, Analis, Izabell, Jaylynn, Joziah, Lezandro, Leziah, Rose, Caydence and Alaina. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers include Jesus Canales, Jeffrey Canales, Lionel Ortiz, George Molina, Eric Trevino, J.R. McCelvey, Kevin Perales, James Manuel Sambrano, Matthew Medina, Juan Casarez.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 2 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Dilley from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A prayer service was held at 11 a.m. Funeral service was held at the Lighthouse Church at 1 p.m. Interment followed to the Dilley Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels.
