Graduating seniors at Cotulla High School have only days remaining to apply for some of the scholarship awards that are made each year to assist in covering their expenses when attending colleges, universities and trade schools.
Deadlines for the applications have been posted by the high school counselor’s office, which has copies of the application forms available through the CHS website.
Scholarships available this year and their application deadlines include the following, as listed by the counseling office:
The 2022 Chamber of Commerce High School Scholarship application is due
Thursday, April 14, at the Cotulla – La Salle County Chamber of Commerce, and forms are available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by email at info@cotullachamber.com.
The Beyond the Badge Scholarship application is due Thursday, April 14.
The Wintergarden Chapter API Scholarship application is due Friday, April 15.
The La Salle County Fair Association Scholarship application is due Monday, April 25. The applicant must have four years of fair participation between grades 9-12. Applications are filed with Ms Cissy Allen at CHS.
The 2022 La Salle County Farm Bureau Scholarship application is due Friday, April 29. Applicants
must be the son or daughter of a La Salle County Farm Bureau Member. The scholarship application must be submitted to the La Salle County Farm Bureau office at 214 Center Street in Cotulla by 5 p.m.
The Cotulla Garden Club Scholarship application is due Monday, May 2, at the CHS Counseling Center. Applicants must attend a two- or four-year college.
The Dr. Lanse T. Fox Memorial Organization Cotulla High School Senior Scholarship
application is due Friday, May 6. There will be two $5,000 scholarships to a four-year university, one $2,500 scholarship to a four-year university, and three $2,500 scholarships to a two-year college or trade school.
The Stockmens National Bank Cotulla Memorial Scholarship application is due Friday, May 6. Graduating seniors must attend an institution of higher learning to qualify.
The Sacred Heart Catholic Church Guadalupanas’ Scholarship application is due on May 6. The applicant must be an active Sacred Heart Catholic Church parishioner.
The Woman’s Club of Cotulla Scholarship application is due Friday, May 6, with Nora G. Martinez via mail or email.
The SM Energy Scholarship application is due May 9 with CHS Counselor Marlene Costley Maldonado. Applicants will write a detailed essay.
The Future Educators Scholarship application is due on Friday, May 13, for any senior who will major in education.
