DISTRICT 30-4A SOFTBALL
Pearsall bounces back from loss to earn district softball co-championship.
Pearsall crushed Uvalde 11-1 in their district finale on Tuesday, April 19 to secure a share of the 30-4A softball championship.
The win delivered the Lady Mavs their seventh title in school history and first since back-t0-back championships in 2017-18.
Pearsall tied with Carrizo Springs for first place after the two split league outings. The Lady Wildcats then won a coin flip to determine playoff seeding and will represent 30-4A as the number one seed.
The Lady Mavs will take on Pleasanton this week in a best-of-three bi-district series. Game one will be on Thursday, April 28 in Pleasanton at 7 p.m. Game two will be in Pearsall on Saturday, April 30 at noon. A third game, if needed, will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of game two.
Pearsall took on San Antonio Cornerstone Christian in a non-district playoff exhibition on Friday, April 22 and dropped a 9-4 decision in that contest.
Pearsall enters postseason play with a school-best 31-3 overall record.
