Moore’s Filip Lange was among the 25 students who has received a scholarship through Medina Electric Cooperative for those pursuing secondary education.
Lange was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be used during the 2022-2023 academic year. Twenty of the 25 recipients are graduating high school seniors and five were part of the adult application. Winners were randomly selected from all qualified entries.
“Part of the cooperative difference is supporting our communities and our members,” MEC CEO Trey Grebe said. “The scholarship program is a great way to fulfill this effort. We are proud to be able to help these students continue their education and wish them the best.”
Medina Electric Cooperative has awarded $652,500 to 468 members since the program began in 2002. A list of this year’s scholarship winners and additional information about the program is available at MedinaEC.org/Scholarships.
Medina Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative that provides service to more than 33,000 meters across nearly 11,000 square miles in 17 South Texas counties.
