ALL-DISTRICT BASEBALL
Dilley had 12 players named to the District 27-3A baseball honor team this week.
Nine players were named to the 27-3A second team while three were given honorable mention.
Seniors Josiah Osio and Deuce Cano were second-team all-district selections at first base and second base while juniors Braydon Foster and Ashton Flynn were second-team pitcher and utility selections. Senior Jeremias Rodriguez was also named to the all-district second team in the outfield while junior Colton Ward was second-team catcher, sophomore Seth Cano was second-team shortstop and freshmen Jonavyn Reyes and Johnny Rodriguez were named second team at third base and outfield.
Sophomore Santos Perez, junior Sebastian Garcia and freshman Elias Aguirre were given honorable mention in the outfield and as a pitcher.
Osio, Deuce Cano, Foster, Flynn and Perez were also named to the District 27-3A All-Academic team, which honors athletes for the excellence in the classroom and in the field of play.
The Wolves finished their 2022 season with a 7-18 mark overall and were seventh in District 27-3A with a 4-10 record.
