COUNTY ARRESTS

Fifteen individuals were arrested in La Salle County over a two-week period in May on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges, and on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, and officers of the Encinal Police Department.
In addition to those being housed on behalf of other jurisdictions and those serving commitment by order of the courts (previously listed in the arrest log), those taken into custody between Monday, May 9, and Sunday, May 22, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Anthony DeLeon Hernandez, 50, of Cotulla; arrested 5:36 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor evading arrest, warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace for making an improper turn, failure to appear in court (two counts), bond forfeiture on a charge of assault on a public servant, failure to display a driver’s license, and driving while license is not valid; remained in jail Monday, May 23.
Andrew Omar Ramos Jr., 18, of San Antonio; arrested 9:13 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons, state jail felony evading arrest with a vehicle or watercraft, Class A misdemeanor operation of a stash house; remained in jail Monday, May 23.
Emmy Abigail Fuentes, 22, of Katy, Texas; arrested 4:14 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, by the Sheriff’s Office; bench warrant issued in La Salle District Court (charge not listed); court-ordered release after 21 hours.
Krystal DeLeon Pedroza, 30, of Austin; arrested 4:27 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1; transferred after one day, one hour.
Dazhaney Latrese Dears, 19, of San Antonio; arrested 2:20 a.m. Thursday, May 12, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle, third-degree felony smuggling of persons, Class A misdemeanor operation of a stash house; remained in jail Monday, May 23.
Jamarri Kwyntrel Price, 20, of San Antonio; arrested 2:20 a.m. Thursday, May 12, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle, third-degree felony smuggling of persons, Class A misdemeanor operation of a stash house; remained in jail Monday, May 23.
Shannon Nicole Rea, 31, of Cotulla; arrested 4:39 p.m. Friday, May 13, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone; released on bond after 21 hours.
Brenda Nichole Hinkle, 29, of Encinal; arrested 4:56 p.m. Friday, May 13, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone, warrant issued by La Salle County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace for violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after 21 hours.
Kevin Scott McDonald, 60, of Dallas; arrested 5:12 p.m. Monday, May 16, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle, second-degree felony smuggling of persons under 18 years of age, third-degree felony smuggling of persons (ten counts); remained in jail Monday, May 23.
Ramon Alfredo Galvan-Ochoa, 23, of Houston; arrested 11:12 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1, Class A misdemeanor unlawfully carrying a weapon; released on bond after 11 hours.
Joseph Lee Gonzales, 24, of Harlingen, Texas; arrested 6 a.m. Thursday, May 19, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons; remained in jail Monday, May 23.
Gilberto Eduardo Zamora, 27, of Laredo; arrested 8:15 p.m. Thursday, May 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1; released on bond after 18 hours.
Bryan Arturo Gonzalez, 19, of Laredo; arrested 12:04 p.m. Saturday, May 21, by the Texas DPS; state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Class A misdemeanor unlawful use of a criminal instrument; remained in jail Monday, May 23.
Robert David Carter, 54, of San Antonio; arrested 4:58 p.m. Saturday, May 21, by the Encinal PD; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (six counts); remained in jail Monday, May 23.
Ruemina Garcia, 26, of Corpus Christi, Texas; arrested 6:58 p.m. Sunday, May 22, by the Texas DPS; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (six counts); remained in jail Monday, May 23.
