District Attorney Audrey Louis was one of the guest readers at the Pearsall Public Library Story Time in a summer past. Children and parents enjoy the educational and adventure-filled program that fuels young imaginations during the long vacation.
The Pearsall Public Library will host Story Time every Wednesday of the month with themed readings each week in June.
The library will also include other summer activities Monday through Thursday.
Wednesday Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. each week and will include Jelly Fish on June 15, Octopus on June 22 and Summer on June 29.
Mondays will be Family Game Day at 3 p.m. The activity is suitable for the entire family and includes board games, puzzles, physical activities, development activities and other events.
“Game Day strengthens family bonds at a time when TV and video games are competing for our family’s attention,” Pearsall Head Librarian Jennifer Muniz said.
Kids Crafternoon will be held every Tuesday at 3 p.m. and will includes crafts with a variety of different supplies. Attendees are asked to ‘Explore, imagine and create and be sure to dress for mess!’ Kids Crafternoon is geared towards first through fifth grade students.
StoryTime on Wednesdays will include stories for preschoolers or any child who would enjoy a story and craft with a caregiver.
Little Learners Social Hour will be held Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
“If you’re looking for a fun, free outing for your baby or toddler, then come to our weekly program designed to offer children the opportunity to interact with other kids their age while having a blast as their caregivers enjoy adult interactions,” Muniz said of the event.
The Pearsall Public Library has a collection of over 45,000 items, computers available for use, books in Spanish, children’s books, DVDs, EBSCO Database access, large print books, the Lone Star Digital Library, OverDrive eBooks, OverDrive audiobooks, magazine and newspaper subscriptions, New York Times Best Sellers/Authors and TexShare Database access.
