The Moore Community Improvement Club will host its second annual Moore Summer Fest Saturday, July 16, at the community center.
The event will include a barbecue cook-off and other festivities at the Moore Community Center.
Cooking teams will set up on Friday evening, July 15, in preparation for Saturday’s event. Saturday’s festivities are scheduled to begin at 11 am.
Barbecue competition judging as well as an assortment of other activities including vendor booths featuring local artisans, cornhole and horseshoe tournaments, games for the kids, and a shine-and-show for car enthusiasts have been added to the mix.
Prizes in the cornhole tournament will be awarded for first place (RTIC cooler), and second place (Yeti can koozie) winning teams. The cornhole tournament entry fee is $40 per team. Sign-up will begin at noon; the bags will fly at 2 p.m.
Horseshoe tournament sign-up will be on the day of the event.
There will also be live entertainment this year, with several area bands and performers booked to appear.
Vendor spots remain available and are $40 for an approximately a 10’ x 10’ area. Vendors can call Shelley Delgado at (210) 889-9350 with any questions.
Donations are still needed for the silent auction and soda cans and 3-liter soda bottles are also needed for the ring toss game.
