I’m really a sucker for most things breakfast, and this bread sounds absolutely amazing. Don’t be afraid to make breakfast foods at any time of day… no time is wrong!
Sausage Bread, from Monica Wiersma
As printed in Remember the A La Mode, Collection by The Spouse’s Club of the Fort Sam Houston Area, 2009
2 loaves Frozen Bread Dough
1 ½ lbs. Jimmy Dean Sausage
1 c. Cheddar Cheese – Shredded
1 c. Swiss Cheese – Shredded
1 c. Mozzarella Cheese – Shredded
4 eggs – Slightly Beaten
Thaw bread dough loaves on a cookie sheet overnight in the refrigerator as directed on the package. Brown sausage in skillet, then drain. Mix sausage, eggs, and cheeses. Spread 1 loaf of bread dough out with hands on a greased cookie sheet approx. 11×15 inches. Place ½ of sausage mixture down center of dough. Close bread by over lapping sides and secure with toothpicks if necessary. Repeat process for second loaf. Bake at 350 for 30 min. or until brown. Makes enough for 16 hungry people.
