The Southwest Area Regional Transit District (SWART) is planning to make changes to its fare structure beginning in November.
SWART will not longer be offering discounts on electronic fare cards. Electronic fare cards will be fixed at the normal general public fare rates. These changes will take place effective November 1.
SWART is seeking comments from the public pertaining to the proposed fare changes and a copy of the proposed fare rates can be obtained by contacting SWART General Manager Sarah Hidalgo-Cook at scook@paseoswart.org or by calling (830) 278-4155, extension 3009.
A copy of the proposed fare changes can also be viewed on the SWART website at www.paseoswart.org. The deadline to submit a request for a public hearing to provide public comment is set for September 14 at 4 p.m. The proposed changes will go into effect on November if there are no requests for a public hearing.
