34 jailed in La Salle, September 5 – 18

Thirty-four individuals were arrested in La Salle County over the past two weeks on a range of felony and misdemeanor charges as well as on warrants issued locally and in other jurisdictions.
Arrests were made by deputies of the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, and officers of the Encinal Police Department.
In addition to those being held on behalf of other jurisdictions and those serving sentences by order of the courts (arrests previously published), those taken into custody between Monday, September 5, and Sunday, Sept. 18, with arrest times logged at booking in the La Salle County Jail, were as follows:
Noelia Renee Garcia, 30, of Cotulla; arrested 12:57 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony abandoning or endangering a child (four counts); released on bond after two days, 12 hours.
Filiberto Martinez Jr., 41, of Laredo; arrested 5:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, by the Texas DPS; warrants issued in Webb County for assault on a public servant and probation revocation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance; transferred after eight days, 17 hours.
Amy Gonzalez, 40, of Cotulla; arrested 8:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace for driving with an expired license and failure to control speed; scheduled release after four days, one hour.
Zabrina Cervantes Flores, 35, of Cotulla; arrested 8:20 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony evading arrest with a vehicle, state jail felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 19.
Carlos Enrique Perales, 41, of Cotulla; arrested 8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class B misdemeanor interfering with public duties; released on bond after one day, 14 hours.
Rosa Maria Cruz, 38, of Cotulla; arrested 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace for disorderly conduct and failure to appear in court; released on bond after 20 hours.
Francisco Gabriel Tellez, 42, of San Antonio; arrested 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, by the Encinal PD; Class A misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 3, misdemeanor public intoxication; released on bond after 22 hours.
Jose Francisco DeJesus, 19, of San Antonio; arrested 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, by the Sheriff’s Office; state jail felony theft of property up to $30,000, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 19.
Joshua Jvon Brown, 22, of Carthage, Mississippi; arrested 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana; released on bond after ten hours.

Jamie William Rivera-Espinoza, 32, of Marlin, Texas; arrested 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony smuggling of persons (three counts), warrant issued by Austin Parole Board for parole violation on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1; remained in jail Monday, Sept. 19.
