2022 HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY
Wolves finished fifth overall in Class 1A-4A division at annual Corpus Christi cross country meet.

Xavier Hernandez was 22nd in field of nearly 300 runners to lead Dilley at the Islander Splash Cross Country Invitational in Corpus Christi on Saturday, September 17.
“It was a great experience and our boys placed well in a tough competitive field, giving us something to get excited for and look forward to when regionals comes around,” DHS Head Cross Country Coach Victor Flores said. “Congrats to all our athletes who came out and competed.”
The Wolves finished fifth out of 32 teams in the Class 1A to 4A division.
Varsity boys’ results are as follows: Xavier Hernandez, 22nd, 19:03, Brazos Viesca, 29th, 19:31, Anthony Guerra, 56th, 20:23, Jorge Herrada, 83rd, 21:06, Abraham Rodriguez, 90th, 21:14, Julian Cruz, 142nd, 22:41, Jacob Garcia, 150th, 22:52.
Jewlea Tate and Rena Ochoa competed in the varsity girls’ field. Tate finished with a time of 16:16 while Ochoa clocked in at 20:54.
Klarissa Vasquez recorded a time of 19:41 in the junior varsity girls’ division.
Dilley will be in action in Comfort this week as they participate in the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday, September 24.
