Facing a last-minute change to its schedule, Cotulla competed in the River City Believers Academy XC Invitational in Selma on Saturday, September 24.
Carisia Rodriguez continues to impress in her freshman season as the Cowgirls’ runner took fourth overall in the varsity girls’ division.
“This was a new meet for us and provided a different type of competition for our runners,” CHS Head Coach Jose Olvera said of the meet.
Cotulla results are as follows: Maggie Alba 93rd, Paul Gonzalez, 25th place; junior high girls’ division, Leila Olvera, 49th, Jackeline Alba 75th, Carina Rodriguez, 85th; junior high boys’ division, Frank Torres, fourth, personal record 11:13, Jesus Alcocer, 66th, Rene Barrera, 70th, Michel Garcia, 91st, Aron Vargas, 169th.
