COTULLA FACES DISTRICT CHAMPION LADY PIRATES IN BI-DISTRICT AT DEVINE

Cotulla opened the volleyball playoffs this week, taking on the District 27-3A Champion Poth Lady Pirates in a bi-district set in Devine Tuesday evening, November 1.
The Cowgirls, the fourth place team in District 28-3A, finished the year with an 11-22 mark overall and were 3-6 in league play.
Poth won its district title with a perfect 8-0 mark, tearing through its competition. The team was 22-23 overall but played a grueling non-district schedule that included #4 state ranked Class 4A Pleasanton, Smithson Valley, San Antonio MacArthur and Cedar Ridge.
