DILLEY WOLVES BASKETBALL
Devine used a 22-point fourth period to pull away and claim a 68-58 non-district decision over Dilley on November 15 in basketball action.
Dilley then dropped an 82-39 decision to Karnes City on Monday, November 11 in their final action before the holiday break.
The Warhorses pulled out to a five-point first half lead, going up 33-28 at intermission. Dilley made a run in the second half but Devine outscored the Wolves 22-15 in the fourth to secure the ten-point, 68-58 win.
Jorge Herrada paced Dilley with 20 points and nine rebounds. He also had a pair of steals and a block.
Senior guard Sebastian Garcia hit three of six three pointers and finished with 15 points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Seth Cano added seven points, four rebounds and an assist while Jacob Lopez and Benjamin Gonzales both had six points apiece. Lopez added three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block while Gonzales added nine rebounds, an assist and two steals.
Herrada led Dilley against Karnes City, scoring 11 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Gonzales tallied eight points, three rebounds and a steal while Garcia and Lopez both finished with seven points. Garcia added three rebounds and a steal while Lopez had two steals, a rebound and an assist.
Seth Cano had four points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Dilley was at Charlotte Tuesday evening and will be in action at the Hondo tournament this weekend.
